With the brand new SignalPilot, we are now able to present you a multiprotocol accessory decoder, which is designed to switch signals. With its intelligent software it can be used both under DCC or Motorola®. The flexible programming makes this decoder an all-rounder under our accessory decoders. The SignalPilot has 16 outputs, to which the individual microlamps or LEDs of light signals can be directly connected. Because the outputs are designed as push / pull amplifiers, both conventional light signals with a common anode and light signals with a common ground connection (common cathode) can be used, as can occur with Viessmann® signals. However, motorized shape signals and switch drives can also be operated directly with the SignalPilot.
The SignalPilot can be used under DCC with RailComPlus® and Motorola®. Any address or combination of addresses can be assigned to each output on the softwares side.
The SignalPilot can either be supplied directly from the digital center or separately from a DC or AC voltage transformer. You can connect the LEDs directly to the 16 outputs of two-, three-, or four-concept light signals. Each output can be individually operated as continuous light, flashing light or pulse light. The brightness, flashing frequency or pulse number can, of course, be set as well as fade-in and fade-out times. Various exemplary light effects such as soft dimming, neon tube effect, defect neon tubes, gas lantern simulation, battery lighting, flicker light and more. provide a realistic experience. A random-controlled switch-on or switch-off is just as obvious as a switch-on and switch-off delay. Time-controlled processes are also possible. With the help of a flexible "Mappings" you can select the outputs individually and in groups the respective
Addresses and switching states. In this way, arbitrary signal images can be displayed realistically. Alternatively, you can also operate form signals or motorized turnout drives directly with the SignalPilot.
The SignalPilot already has a lot of signal imagery, as is usual in Germany, Belgium or Switzerland. These signal images can be easily assigned to the individual outputs - the SignalPilot takes care of the correct representation of the light images and the required interlacing effects. The assignment is made either by setting some (less) CVs or by using the ESU LokProgrammer.
With the ESU LokProgrammer, you can configure the SignalPilot directly on the screen: simply select the desired signal type and display the connection directly on the screen.
The SignalPilot would not be an ESU product if it did not offer even more: the operation is also possible without a digital center! For this purpose, 4 push button inputs are available, with the aid of which the signals can be switched using conventional pushbuttons.
With the help of the LokProgrammer the operating software of the SignalPilot can be updated at any time. This may be necessary if we install additional signal types.
